Tammy McCullough / Chickadee Creations by Tammy

Tammy’s inspiration transpires from living in Central Oregon with its diverse animal population (wild and domesticated). She loves the beauty, joy, and humor of our furry/feathered friends.

“I am a woolgatherer. My artistry is an expression of heart and nature singing a duet. ” – Tammy McCullough

Working with natural fiber is unique and while her creations are realistic, they imbue a woolen “whimsy” too.

More About Me

As a self-taught fiber artist, I use wool (some locally sourced) to “sculpt” 3D animals using a combination of needle felting, wire armature, and hand sewing.

It is always a pleasurable process to see the “life” and “spirit” of an individual piece come together. For this reason, I especially enjoy making the eyes. Entirely hand done with bits of tiny fleece and felted in place with a barbed needle; character and personality start to develop.
